HOT SINGLES IN YOUR AREA
In 2025, the not-for-profit organisation Trash Free Trails was given advertising space in premium spots just outside Old Trafford, Manchester - a hub of energy and heavy footfall, especially on match days. The aim of the campaign was simple: to encourage people to take care of the spaces we all love by picking up single-use pollution (litter).
We wanted to appeal to a cheekier audience, so we played on the familiar trope of “hot singles” pop-up ads that appear on computer screens - with a twist. In our version, the ‘singles’ were single-use pollution. To bring the idea to life, I used a retro computer aesthetic for the pop-ups, leaning into the nostalgic, tongue-in-cheek feel of early internet ads.
